The Management Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC at the meeting dated April 18, 2016 adopted a number of corporate decisions regarding the Board of Directors of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”.

In particular, the powers of the Managing Director for Cooperation with the Government Nurlan Rakhmetov as a member of the Board of Directors of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” and the representative of the interests of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC have been early terminated.

Instead, the Managing Director for Strategy and Portfolio Investment - Member of the Management Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” Baljeet Grewal has been introduced to the Board of Directors of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”.

Baljeet Grewal joined the Board from the Kuwait Fund with extensive oil and gas investment experience. Previously, she worked as Managing Director at Kuwait Finance House, an investment research subsidiary of Kuwait Investment Authority. She has wide experience in senior management positions in banking and financial companies, deep experience in strategy development, national economic policies and financial/capital markets. She holds different degrees in leading world universities, in particular an Executive MBA from Cambridge University, Great Britain.
