NWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC will allocate 1 billion tenge to restore damaged facilities in the Maktaaral district of Turkestan region. The decision to provide support was made in accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the akimat of the Turkestan region, the recipient of funds allocated by the Fund is the "Turkistan" Corporate Social Development Fund which will ensure the restoration of damaged facilities in the Maktaaral district and the targeted use of funds allocated by the Fund.

Currently, the issue of concluding an agreement between the Fund, the akimat of the Turkestan region and the "Turkistan" Social Development Fund is being considered. Recall, on May 1, after heavy rain and a gale, the dam of the Sardoba reservoir in Uzbekistan broke through. As a result, border collectors of the Maktaaral district of the Turkestan region were filled with water, which led to the flooding of several settlements. In this regard, an emergency has been declared in the Maktaaral district of Turkestan region.
