Under the CEO of the JSC head of Samruk - Kazyna Akhmetzhan Yessimov, the hearing of the preliminary results of the work NC «KazMunayGas» JSC for 2020 was held. Despite the sharp drop in oil prices and the impact of OPEC +, the company's production teams worked as usual, which ensures a stable social environment.

NC «KazMunayGas» JSC maintained its financial stability. It is sharply reduced operating and capital expenses, reduced its debt burden by USD 472 million, and refinanced Eurobonds for USD 907 million.

Despite the economic crisis, the company's activity continued actively. Thus, two wells were put into trial production at the Eastern Urikhtau field in December. Gushing oil flows were obtained at the exploration block of Bekturly Vostochny in the Mangistau region and at the S. Nurzhanov field in the Atyrau region. Significant progress was made in the construction of a gas chemical complex in the Atyrau region, which grew from 53% to 80% in 2020.

This year, the company intends to focus its efforts on attracting investment in geological exploration, project implementation and achieving sustainable development goals.
