Prime Minister Askar Mamin introduced the new chair of the board to the staff of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC — Almassadam Satkaliev. The Head of Government thanked the former Chair of the Board of the Fund Akhmetzhan Yessimov for his significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and effective work in various government posts over the years of Independence.

The prime minister noted the successful solution by Yessimov of the tasks of transformation and modernization of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC, increasing its role in the diversification and development of the Kazakhstani economy. Introducing the new head of the Fund, Almassadam Satkaliev, Askar Mamin noted his extensive experience in the energy sector and the "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC system. “The first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev and the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev set important tasks for the Samruk-Kazyna Foundation to create favorable conditions for further sustainable development of the national economy through the development of the fuel and energy sector, infrastructure, transport and logistics and industrial potential of the country, attraction of investments and support of domestic producers,” Mamin said. Almassadam Maidanovich Satkaliev was born Oct. 31, 1970, in Almaty.

He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business, Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a Doctor of Economics, Academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. In 1997-2001, he worked as a manager, head of the clearing department, head of the project management department, managing director, vice president for economics of JSC National Oil Transportation Company KazTransOil.

In 2001-2006, he was a financial director, vice president for economics and first vice president of Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company KEGOC. In 2006-2007, he was the Director for the Management of Electric Power Assets of JSC Kazakhstan Holding for Management of State Assets Samruk. In January 2007, he was appointed Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Board of Directors of JSC Kazakhstan Holding for State Assets Management Samruk. In 2008-2009, he was the first vice-president of Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company KEGOC, in 2009-2011 resident of Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company JSC. In 2011, he was appointed Managing Director of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC, 2011-2018 — Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Board of Samruk-Energo JSC. From 2018 to the present, he has been Managing Director for Asset Management of "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.
