The Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna announced the appointment of Sungat Yessimkhanov as Samruk-Energy's new Chairman.  

Announcing the change today, Almassadam Satkaliyev appointed Mr. Yessimkhanov to the role of leader of Samruk-Energy. 

Mr. Yessimkhanov had previously served as First Deputy Akim of the Pavlodar region. Over the years, he worked as Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of  JSC "Kazakh energy expertise," Director of the Department of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition in Mangistau and Karaganda regions. 

He graduated from Pavlodar State University, named after S. Toraigyrov and the Bolashak Institute.
