JSC “Samruk-Kazyna” discuss strategic cooperation with partners in Azerbaijan

On July, 1-2 JSC “Samruk-Kazyna” delegation made a working trip to Baku and held meetings with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SOCAR, Member of the Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Investment Holding Mikhail Djabbarov, and General executive director of Azerbaijan Investment Holding Ruslan Alikhanov.
Meeting attendees defined the modernization and diversification of transit transport potential and the development of logistics as promising directions for further cooperation.
Partnership in air, sea, and railway transportation services, logistics, and in the oil and gas industry were also negotiated. The examples of cooperation are the joint projects developed by JSC “KazMunaiGaz” and SOCAR.
During the trip, top executives of the Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” and the National company “KazMunaiGaz” inspected a jack-up floating drilling rig “Satti” that will be operated on the “British Petroleum” project. After modification its drilling depth reached 6000 metres, and weight-supporting capacity increased by 50%.
The jack-up floating drilling rig “Satti” was constructed in Kazakhstan according to the best world standards. It is shared by “KazMunaiGaz” and SOCAR as it was decided in 2019, while the owner of the drilling rig is the subsidiary company of “KazMunaiGaz” - LLP «KMG Drilling & Services».
