The management of the Fund and Citi have discussed this today at the talks in Astana. Nurlan Zhakupov, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna, represented the Kazakhstan party, and Mr. David Livingston, the Chief Executive Officer of Citi for Europe, Middle East and Africa, represented the bank.

American Citibank is one of the largest international banks, represented in more than 100 countries around the world. It has been working in Kazakhstan since 1994. The Bank cooperates actively with the Samruk-Kazyna Group, for example, when placing Eurobonds and other loans of the Fund and companies of the holding. Such companies as Air Astana, KTZh and Kazatomprom cooperate actively with the bank.

Today, the parties discussed topical issues of interaction and prospects for expanding cooperation. In particular, Nurlan Zhakupov told the partners about the plans of Samruk-Kazyna for further bringing portfolio companies to the market through IPO and SPO. KMG, Air Astana, KEGOC and QazaqGaz are among them. 

In conclusion, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna called the bank to study the possibility of financing the Fund’s priority investment projects.
