Within the framework of the Astana International Forum, the management of Samruk-Kazyna, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of the Zhetysu region and ACWA Power gathered to discuss the implementation of a project for the construction of a 1 GW wind power plantwith an electricity storage system in the Dzhungar Gate area.

The parties signed the Calendar of events (Roadmap), which defines the main activities, responsible executors and deadlines for the implementation of the project.

The document is a continuation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Head of State to Jeddah in 2022, and the Heads of Agreement this year in Saudi Arabia.
