Today, the meeting of the H&S Committee was held in Samruk-Kazynabased on the results of five months of this year.  

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Fund, Nurlan Zhakupov, with participation of the top executive officers of portfolio companies. They reported on the current level of occupational safety and measures taken to reduce injuries. The Fund’s management heard the data on the ongoing work aimed to improve industrial safety management systems in three areas: people, equipment reliability and emergency prevention.

“The culture of occupational safety is not formed simultaneously, but requires time and effort. 5-7 years ago, it was possible to talk about insufficient funding, lack of people in the fields, lack of leadership support. But today we give portfolio companies maximum tools to ensure the proper level of security at our enterprises”, - Nurlan Zhakupov said.

“Your current task is to achieve a high level of safety culture by making sure that employees, according to internal beliefs, comply with the necessary standards. It should be unacceptable for them to violate the requirements of industrial safety. I will support you in this matter”, - the Head of the Fund added.
