Nurlan Zhakupov, the Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, has visited the “Turkestan” compressor station of Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent main gas pipeline. At the meeting with gas workers, the readiness for the autumn-winter period has been estimated at 100 percent.
The Turkestan gas pipeline is a large-scale and important part of Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent main gas pipeline and is located on its 1230th kilometer in the immediate vicinity of Turkestan city. The station was put into operation in 2018. It has increased the capacity of the gas pipeline from 10 to 15 billion m3/year. As Nurlan Zhakupov noted, this highway provides gas supply to the southern regions of the country, and at the peak of the heating season - to the capital. “In order to report about full readiness today, the employees of QazaqGaz JSC began preparation in the spring,” Zhakupov stressed.
At the meeting with Darkhan Satybaldy, the Akim of Turkestan region, the issues of the activities of a number of the Fund companies in the region, including Subsidiaries of Kazatomprom JSC, have been discussed. In terms of social responsibility of business, it has been noted that Samruk-Kazyna Trust fund implemented 23 charitable projects in the region for a total of KZT1.8 billion over the past six years.
And today in Shymkent, Nurlan Zhakupov, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, has visited PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP. The agenda included issues of further expansion of the enterprise, as well as stable power supply due to the recent accident at MHPP. Nurlan Zhakupov set the task to eliminate unproductive intermediaries in the supply of basic resources for the plant. “This applies not only to oil, but also to gas, additives and other consumables,” the Head of Samruk-Kazyna JSC stressed.
In turn, the management of PKOP LLP reported on the situation with the failure of the LANPEC plate heat exchanger, which led to the cessation of production of АИ-95 gasoline. Based on the manufacturer’s recommendations, it was decided to immediately replace the device. The new heat exchanger will be delivered to the plant in February next year. “I ask you not to avoid such disruptions in production in the future. Especially during the sowing and harvesting period. The out-of-commissioning heat exchanger was more than ten years old. It has been repaired many times. An interim decision has now been taken to resume the production of gasoline. However, the issue with the deficit will be completely withdrawn only after installation of the new heat exchanger and catalyst,” Nurlan Zhakupov said.
At the end of his business trip to the southern regions, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna JSC has met with Murat Aitenov, the Akim of Shymkent. The issues of development and reconstruction of the PKOP LLP refinery and uninterrupted supply of the market with petroleum products have been also discussed with him. In addition, the parties noted fruitful cooperation in the field of social policy. To date (since 2016), 24 charitable projects for a total amount of KZT1.6 billion have been approved for implementation in Shymkent through Samruk-Kazyna Trust CF.
