During the official visit of the Head of State to China, Samruk-Kazyna has signed four agreements with Chinese partners. First, the Fund, China Power International Holding (hereinafter – CPIH) and SANY Renewable Energy Co Ltd (hereinafter - SANY) signed a Cooperation Agreement, according to which a 1 GW wind power stations will be built in cooperation with CPIH, and a plant for the production of components for wind power stations will be build in cooperation with SANY. Second, on the sidelines of the CEO Conference, it is planned to sign a Joint Development Agreement between Samruk-Kazyna and CPIH on the above-mentioned wind power station project. Third, Samruk-Kazyna and SANY signed a preliminary investment agreement in the above-mentioned plant for wind turbines components. At the moment, a phased commissioning of capacities for blades, gondolas and towers is under discussion. Fourth, the Fund, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China National Petroleum Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on development of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan. All these agreements are the result of previously reached agreements and confirm the intentions of the Fund and its Chinese partners to increase the share of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan.
