The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation and current projects. There was also an acquaintance with Mr. Seger Hoytink, the new Head of Eni in Kazakhstan.

Eni is the largest Italian oil and gas company, represented in more than 80 countries around the world. Eni has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1992.

Over the years, the company’s total investments in the country’s economy amounted to more than USD16 billion. Kazakhstan is one of the top five countries in terms of oil and gas production in the Eni portfolio.

Recall that in January 2024, two documents were signed during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Italy:

• Samruk-Kazyna JSC has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Italian Eni S.p.A.
  
  
• A joint final investment decision between the Portfolio Company of the Fund - JSC NC KazMunayGas - and Eni on the construction of a hybrid power plant.
