The parties discussed potential cooperation as part of the project for the construction of the first hydroelectric pumped storage power plant* in Kazakhstan. In early March, Samruk-Energy JSC and CWE has signed a corresponding agreement on the HPSPP.

In addition, Nurlan Zhakupov met with Mr. Yu Weiping, Vice President of CRRC Group.

China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation is the world’s largest manufacturer of railway transport. In February 2024, Samruk-Kazyna and CRRC Corporation Limited has signed a Cooperation Agreement.

It is planned that CRRC, as part of its work with KTZh, will organize maintenance of railway rolling stock in Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, it was noted that the Fund is interested in promoting cooperation with CRRC.

*HPSPP is a hydroelectric power plant that is used to equalize the daily heterogeneity of the electrical load schedule.
