The children graduated from IQanat High School of Burabay under the patronage of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies as part of the Zharkyn Bolashak program. The goal of the program is competitive education in the best schools and colleges in the country for children from Zhanaozen and Mangystau region.
In 2022, the national company - KazMunayGas - launched this initiative. With the support of a single charitable operator, the Samruk–Kazyna Trust fund, 50 children received educational grants after going through several selection stages. The program fully covered expenses of participants related to transportation, meals, accommodation and school uniforms.
The grant holders received not only the opportunity to gain in-depth academic knowledge in the subjects, but also to develop their soft skills, which are necessary today. Innovative methods of teaching at school have allowed children to increase their chances of admission to the best universities in Kazakhstan and abroad in two years.
“Two years ago you came here, far from home, open to new opportunities. The Fund, in turn, has made every possible effort to provide you with comfortable study conditions and create a launching pad for future achievements. Now some of you have already received invitations to the best educational institutions. We thank the teachers and parents for their support. The future of the country is in your hands!” Alfiya Adiyeva, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna Trust, said at the alumni meeting.
In addition, 177 children enrolled in 45 secondary specialized educational institutions in 9 regions of the country with the support of the Fund. 36 of them are graduating from college this year, two have already been employed.
