The parties discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of existing joint projects.
Nurlan Zhakupov noted that the long-term successful cooperation between the Fund’s portfolio company KazMunayGas JSC and ExxonMobil has always been based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to achieving common goals, which has allowed the implementation of many significant projects.
Exxon Mobil Corporation is an American company, one of the largest oil companies in the world. The headquarters is located in Irving. The main oil reserves are in Asia and the USA, and natural gas reserves are in the USA, Australia, Asia and Europe. The company began its activity in Kazakhstan in 1993, becoming one of the first major investors in oil projects. Thus, the company owns: 25% of the shares in Tengizchevroil LLP (Tengiz field), 16.81% of the share under the North Caspian Production Sharing Agreement (NCPSA), which includes the Kashagan field, as well as 7.5% of the share in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
