Russian-Kazakh Consortium to Sign the EPC Contract for Construction of Two Power Units at Ekibastuz GRES-2

These are power units No. 3 and No. 4 with a capacity of 540 MW each.
Thus, commissioning of power unit No. 3 is scheduled for 2028, and power unit No. 4 - for 2030.
After completion of construction, the total capacity of Ekibastuz GRES-2 will amount to 2 080 MW.
The project is planned to be financed by own funds and a soft loan.
The necessary design and estimate documentation are expected to be developed this year.
