Female Share in Top Management to Increase in Samruk-Kazyna to 30% by 2030

The Energy of Women Forum was held in the Samruk-Energy JSC group of companies in Astana.

Lyazzat Ramazanova, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President, and Dina Amrisheva, Acting Head of UN Women Office in Kazakhstan, were the honorary speakers of the event.

Saltanat Satzhan, Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, made a welcoming speech.

According to her, today more than 68 000 women work in the Fund. At the same time, the share of women in the top management of the Group is 17%, and the Fund plans to increase this figure to 30% by 2030.

She also added that achieving these indicators is not just about gender equality but is part of a broader strategy to create an environment where polarity of opinion and diversity are encouraged, not only gender, but also professional, cultural and other diversity, she said.

Satzhan noted that according to McKinsey & Company research in 2017, companies with a higher proportion of women in top management show better results.


Gender equality issues are always in the focus of attention of the Fund’s management. Therefore, portfolio companies do not have gender-based differences in the remuneration system and provide equal opportunities for career progression.
