Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, familiarized himself with the progress of works on modernization of Almaty CHP-2.

As part of his visit to Almaty, he visited the facility and held a meeting with the management of Samruk-Energy JSC and Almaty Power Plants JSC.

Almaty CHP-2 plays a key role in providing electricity and heat to Almaty.

It is necessary to complete the repair campaign within the established timeframe and obtain certificates of readiness, Zhakupov emphasized.

Any delays in the projects of CHP-2 and CHP-3 are unacceptable, he said.

Modernization of Almaty CHPs will reduce emissions of harmful substances, will ensure reliability and efficiency of energy supply.
