The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector.

The Fund and Doosan Enerbility work successfully in the field of sustainable development and energy generation:

• In 2020, the company implemented a 310 MW gas turbine power plant project in Atyrau region in Kazakhstan.
• Currently, Doosan Enerbility is involved in a 1 000 MW combined cycle power plant project in Turkestan region.

In June, within the visit of the Korean leader, Samruk-Kazyna group signed two documents with Doosan Enerbility:

• Agreement on development of cooperation in combined cycle gas turbine projects and combined heat and power generation in Kazakhstan (Samruk-Kazyna JSC - Doosan Enerbility)
• Memorandum on the possibility of cooperation on investment projects in flue gas cleaning (Samruk-Energy JSC - Doosan Enerbility - KEPCO Plant Service and Engineering)

In Seoul, the Kazakhstan delegation also visited the Gimpo combined cycle power plant. This is a facility of Doosan Enerbility.

Doosan Enerbility is one of the largest South Korean corporations. The main areas of activity are construction and engineering of large infrastructure and industrial facilities, production and supply of power equipment and devices for water desalination and water supply systems.
