Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, held a meeting with Mr. Han Chunlin, Ambassador of the PRC to Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in the energy sector, including RES, oil and gas industry, logistics, etc., as well as preparations for the next meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council.

The Samruk-Kazyna Group cooperates actively with leading companies of China. These companies include China National Nuclear Corporation, the world’s largest national nuclear corporation, CRRC Corporation Limited, the world’s largest railway rolling stock manufacturer, Huawei, the world’s leading supplier of smart devices, Citic Group, a large state-owned conglomerate, China National Petroleum Corporation, SPIC State Power Investment Corporation, SANY Group, China’s largest machine-building company, and others.

The meeting noted the positive dynamics in all areas of cooperation. Last year, Astana hosted the 7th meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council as part of the visit of Xi Jinping, the President of the PRC, to Kazakhstan. As a result, 45 documents worth USD3.7 billion were signed.

The Council has been successfully operating for more than 10 years.
