Holding the Nauryznama Decade in Samruk-Kazyna Group

Nauryz is a holiday of spring, renewal and unity that symbolizes the beginning of a new year and strengthening of traditional values. It holds a special place in Kazakhstan by uniting generations and reminding of the importance of mutual assistance, good neighborly relations and social responsibility.

Nauryznama is celebrated widely throughout the entire Group of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, which numbers 255 thousand people. Events aimed at supporting charity, developing inclusive programs, preserving and promoting cultural heritage are held in metropolitan cities and regions, in branches and at enterprises.

Employees wear national outfits, make donations, and demonstrate customs and traditions.

“Nauryz marks not only the arrival of spring, but also renewal, unity and strengthening of national traditions. On the eve of the decade of Nauryznama, we implemented a number of social initiatives: a new inclusion room for children with special needs was opened in Astana, a sports complex was launched in Akmola region, as well as charity events were held. In total, the Group held more than 300 events across the country”, - Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, noted during the festive event dedicated to Nauryznama.

Samruk-Kazyna Group of Companies pays special attention to environmental projects. More than 250 trees were planted in the southern and western regions of the country as part of the “Taza Kazakstan” campaign (in total, more than 113 thousand trees were planted in 2024 and 138 thousand more trees are planned to be planted in 2025). The Renewal Day also included large-scale corporate clean-up days, in which more than 10,000 employees of the Group of Companies participated.

The employees of the Portfolio Companies demonstrated a creative approach to the holiday organization. In particular, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy organized ethno-auls all over the country, and the employees of the company visited orphanages and nursing homes. JSC NC QazaqGaz held workshops, traditional Betashar ceremony, sports and intellectual tournament “QG Games: Nauryz” and other events.

“Samruk-Energy and KEGOC held a number of activities, including various contests, challenges, festive events for collectives, visits to families of orphanages/nursing homes with food baskets and the staging of yurts.

JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk focused on national sports competitions and charity. ShalkiyaZinc JSC demonstrated respect for the older generation by organizing a visit to the family of an honored worker and installing a yurt in Zhanakorgan settlement.

JSC NAC Kazatomprom organized comprehensive charitable, environmental and cultural events. Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC organized a contest of national costumes and competitions in the traditional game of Asyk Atu, as well as a campaign to help children from low-income families.

Nauryz becomes not just a spring holiday, but also a symbol of national unity, mutual support and aspiration for the future, while social responsibility of business becomes not only charity actions, but also systematic work aimed at creating a more equitable and harmonious society.
