AlmatyFair.ai: Samruk-Kazyna to Implement about 15 AI Projects

Almaty hosted the AlmatyFair.ai AI exhibition, which brought together IT companies, startups and AI experts.
During the event, Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna, told the Heads of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan about AI projects in the Fund Group.
More than 15 AI-assisted projects are now underway.
The key projects to be implemented in 2025 include the following:
- Digital twins of oilfields,
- Predictive analytics for timely repair of production facilities,
- Smart distribution of energy consumption and maintaining balance in the grid,
- Automated Intelligent Safety Systems that reduce the level of injuries,
- Intelligent Coal Quality Determination Systems to optimize logistics.
He also noted that the Fund is already using virtual assistants to solve production and corporate tasks.
KTZh – the Portfolio Company of the Fund demonstrated the use of an internal neural network in production processes. The system processes more than 5 thousand regulatory and technical documents used by railroad workers in their work and provides the optimal solution to improve safety and service on the railroads.
In turn, the head of Kazakhtelecom spoke about the Private 5G Industrial Network for unmanned transportation. It is used to control unmanned dump trucks in the mining industry. Also, he talked about i-Mektep video analytics in schools, which allows to analyze the behavior of those present, to detect dangerous and armed people, to record the presence of students and teachers.
