The purpose of the event is to draw the attention of international investors and potential business partners to the opportunities for the development of joint projects, innovations and technologies in Kazakhstan.

This event brought together key global financial market players, investors and funds such as Citigroup, Franklin Templeton, Blackstone, JP Morgan, Temasek, MasterCard, Cerberus Capital Management and others.

The management of Samruk-Kazyna, the National Bank, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, and the Baiterek Holding introduced the dynamics of Kazakhstan’s economic development, its potential, and current investment projects to the participants.

Introductory information on the Fund’s activities was presented at the round table. Samruk-Kazyna JSC is one of the top 25 sovereign wealth funds in terms of assets under management. In 2024, EBITDA amounted to $10.5 billion, and net profit exceeded $5 billion, - Nurlan Zhakupov said in his speech. Portfolio companies managed by Samruk-Kazyna operate in strategically important industries such as oil and gas, transport and logistics, communications, mining, energy and chemical industries. The IPO and SPO results of the Group’s portfolio companies were also reviewed at the event.

Thus, the Head of the Fund spoke about Kazatomprom NAC and Air Astana, whose shares are traded on the stock exchange, as well as about the potential of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, which is planned for the IPO this year under favorable market conditions.

Among the key objectives is to continue increasing the value of assets under management and attracting foreign direct investment, - Zhakupov stressed.
