KEGOC Portfolio Company to Present a Report on its Activities for 2024 and Plans for 2025At the Public Council of Samruk-Kazyna

On May 23, at the meeting of the Public Council of Samruk-Kazyna in Astana, KEGOC presented the results of 2024.

  • The volume of transmission and use of the National Electric Grid amounted to 93.9 billion kWh, which is 30% higher than in 2023. 

  • Net profit reached KZT59.5 billion, increase by 37.1%.

In 2025, the company expects an additional 11% increase in profit.

As part of the modernization, KEGOC will invest KZT22.8 billion in the replacement of power autotransformers, which will increase capacity and provide the population with reliable electricity supply. By the end of 2029, the modernization and replacement of power autotransformers at 18 facilities will increase capacity by 1,837 MVA.

Current projects:

  • Strengthening the Yuzhniy Zone network: the construction of 500 kV lines with a length of 475 km will increase the capacity of Sever-Yug transit by 440 MW. 

  • Unification of the energy system of Western Kazakhstan with the UES: the construc

tion of a 500 kV (604 km) line and substations will increase the reliability of supply to the western regions and create a reserve for the formation of the country’s energy ring. 

Both projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.
