At the beginning of the meeting, Zhakupov congratulated the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that his experience and professionalism would help strengthen the partnership between the two countries. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation. Samruk-Kazyna actively cooperates with a number of large Italian companies:

• Thus, Eni has been cooperating with Kazakhstan for more than 25 years, being a strategic partner in the oil and gas sector. The company is implementing a hybrid power plant project in Mangystau region with KazMunayGas NC;

• Ansaldo Energia supplies gas turbines as part of the modernization of Almaty CHPP-3.

• Maire Tecnimont cooperates in the field of oil and gas chemistry.
