The parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation and joint projects – in early May, the upgraded Caspi Bitum was launched ahead of schedule. 

 The heads of Samruk-Kazyna and CITIC Group are co-chairs of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council, which has been successfully operating since 2013. The partnership between the companies has been developing over the past 17 years. The parties discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the KCBC, which is scheduled to be held within the framework of the SCO in the fall of this year in China.
