The parties discussed the organization of the upcoming 8th meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council (KCBC), which is scheduled in Beijing this autumn within the framework of the SCO.

Samruk-Kazyna, together with CCPIT, carries out the organizational work of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council. The KCBC is co-chaired by Nurlan Zhakupov, Head of the Fund, and Mr. Xi Guohua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CITIC Group.

The KCBC is a dialogue platform for the business circles of Kazakhstan and China and is designed to enhance trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Last year, during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan, Astana hosted the 7th meeting of the KCBC, during which 45 documents for $3.7 billion were signed.
