An early intervention center has opened in Almaty. It became the 46th rehabilitation center opened by the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation, the sole charity operator of the Samruk-Kazyna Group of companies.

More than KZT57.5 million was allocated for the material and technical equipment of the facility.

In the new center, children under the age of three will get assistance in acquiring or developing functions and skills that have not yet been formed. For this purpose, unique rehabilitation and diagnostic equipment from leading manufacturers of the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and Kazakhstan has been installed.

Daily individual physical therapy, kinesotherapy, and mechanotherapy classes are provided.

“By the end of this year, we plan to open 7 such centers – a children’s rehabilitation center in Kyzylorda, centers for children with autism in Mangystau, Karaganda, Turkestan regions, as well as Ainala mixed-type centers in the district centers of Turkestan and East Kazakhstan”, - Gibrat Auganov, Managing Director of Samruk–Kazyna said.

Since the launch of the EIC project, more than 17 thousand children have got assistance, about 4 thousand of them have started talking for the first time, and also started walking with support and on their own. There are 19 such centers in the country.
