Nurlan Zhakupov, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund, held a meeting with Mr. Richard Howe, Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production at Shell. The company is a member of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of Kazakhstan.

Shell is one of the strategic partners of Samruk-Kazyna. The company cooperates withKazMunayGas, a portfolio company of the Fund, within the framework of the North Caspian and Karachaganak projects, the CPC, the reconstruction of the diesel fuel hydrotreating unit at Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery, as well as geological exploration projects.

The parties discussed the status of current projects and further prospects for cooperation.

A month earlier, Samruk-Kazyna and Shell held a strategy session to discuss current energy security scenarios.

The companies also implement social initiatives. Last year, the Fund and Shell successfully implemented the inclusive educational project OrleTECH 3.0, which provided training in high-demand IT professions to young people with special needs.
