At the 7th meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, projects on innovative methods of hydrocarbon production were reviewed, as well as the results of the activities of the Samgau CSTI for H1 2025.

The R&D project portfolio consists of 32 projects for KZT9.2 billion. 67% of the projects have ready-made solutions for production. By the way, the participation of universities in R&D projects has increased from 11% to 30% in 3 years.

In 2025, it is planned to complete 5 projects with an expected economic effect of KZT196 billion (over 5 years).

4 projects of them are the projects of KazMunayGas - associated gas processing, complex activated aluminum reagents, pulse seismic exploration, and innovative deep-sea pumps. There is also a project of Kazatomprom on development of a special chemical reagent.

Kunsulu Zakarya, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation, took part in the 7th meeting of the STC. She noted that the President pays special attention to the development of science. Samruk-Kazyna’s experience in organizing project validation, expertise and monitoring is quite high, and this experience needs to be translated and integrated into the country’s digital science platform.
