A new sports and recreation complex has been opened in the village of Zhanaomir in the West Kazakhstan region.

The facility with a total area of 1.6 thousand square meters was built by the Fund’s single charity operator, the Samruk-Kazyna Trust, as part of the restoration of infrastructure in regions affected by floods in 2024.

The complex has all the facilities for volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis and national wrestling. A medical center, changing rooms, showers and other auxiliary facilities are also provided. Now the villagers will be able to regularly play sports, train and prepare for competitions of various levels.

The project cost amounted to KZT1.2 billion. The project was made possible with participation of the companies Asian Gas Pipeline, Uranium One, CGN, Cameco, Orano, KATCO, Marubeni and KMG RomPetrol.

The opening of the sports and recreation complex took place with participation of Nariman Turegaliyev, Akim of the West Kazakhstan region, Gibrat Auganov, Managing Director of JSC Samruk-Kazyna, representatives of business partners, sports and public spheres.

Since 2020, the Fund’s group of companies has implemented 18 social projects in the West Kazakhstan region totaling KZT21.7 billion. OzgeEpic Oral, the creative hub, which was opened this year, is among them. Early intervention and rehabilitation centers continue to operate in the region, which annually receive more than 1,200 children with special needs.
