On February 7–8, the sporting event in the capital brought together around 2,000 people, including participants and spectators. This year, teams from 20 Fund portfolio companies took part in the Winter Spartakiad. The competitions were held in support of Kazakhstani athletes representing the country at the Olympic Games in Italy.

The hockey matches began a day earlier and concluded with a victory for Samruk United. The silver medals went to the team from Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, while KazMunayGas claimed bronze.

Meanwhile, around 500 participants took part in a cross-country ski race in the Central Park. At the same time, charity zones operated across the venue, where participants collected items for families in need, supported animal shelters, and built birdhouses that were immediately installed on the park’s trees.

Sport is an important part of the corporate culture. The Fund supports its development both within the Group and nationwide. Over the past three years, with the support of Samruk-Kazyna, 19 sports complexes have been opened, making sports more accessible to 750,000 people.
