As part of the extended meeting on results of financial and economic activities of subsidiaries and affiliates of KMG-Refining and Marketing JSC (KMG-RM) in 2016, innovators of the Bank of Ideas have been awarded at a ceremony held in Aktau.

Senior Vice President of Oil and Gas refining at KazMunaiGas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC KMG-Refining and Marketing Daniyar Tiyessov solemnly handed diplomas and money certificates to the authors of proposals and ideas which will bring economic benefit to the group of companies.

For example, the innovators of the Pavlodar Oil and Chemistry Refinery (POCR) Akhmetzhan Parpiyev, Marat Baitenov and Azat Satybaldin received cash certificates in the amount of more than 1 million tenge for their idea for the reconstruction of the output circuit of tar from the unit 001 of the Advanced Oil Refining Center (AORC); the POCR will save more than 18 million tenge in 2017 in wake of implementation of the unit.

In addition, the cash prizes have been given to Vassily Gatsko and Askar Sakhauov for their idea of supplying hydrogen to a hydrogen production in a cell reduction catalyst D-221 Section 200 of the catalytic reforming. Employees of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP were also among the winners.

According to Arman Saulebai, the project manager, the Bank of Ideas gives the opportunity to anyone who wishes to participate in the rationalization of the group of companies KMG-RM and get rewarded for it - and for the group’s employees to provide additional platform for dialogue with the management and allows to directly offer ideas on optimizing the existing processes. 

As it was reported last year, in hopes to develop the innovation and rationalization culture in its group of companies, KMG-RM has developed and launched the Bank of Ideas on its web site.

On October 5, last year, the KMG received the certificate from the Ministry of Justice confirming the ownership of exclusive property rights of the Bank of Ideas.

To date, the Bank of Ideas has registered 1,200 users and received more than 130 proposals, of which 34 have been approved for the implementation.

The KMG-RM staff encourages to actively participate in the innovative activities through the Bank of Ideas because it can be not only prestigious, but also profitable.
