Recall that on December 22, 2016 during the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani to Kazakhstan, KTZ Express  and IRISL signed a constituent agreement on establishing a joint venture.

The operation of the joint venture is scheduled for March 2017. At the initial stage operating activities with the provision of transportation and logistics services will be carried out.

The construction of a joint terminal in the port of Bandar Abbas is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

The favourable development of transport and logistics infrastructure is aimed at organizing efficient and cost-effective transportation and logistics services between Kazakhstan, Iran, CIS countries and Caspian sea ports along the route of the North-South and other promising routes.

The creation of infrastructure in the port of Bandar Abbas will help to build transit and will provide access to the Persian Gulf ports of India and Africa.

In the future it is planned to implement projects for the development of terminal facilities at Inceburun station and Aktau port.
