During the working trip to Atyrau region CEO of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC Umirzak Shukeyev familiarized with the progress of the investment projects implementation on the territory of special economic zone “National industrial oil and gas technology park”. In particular, the Head of the Fund visited “Polymer Production” LLP.

The project involves the production of the following types of polymer products: 14 738 tons of BOPP films per year, 4 125 tons of polyethylene films and 48 million polypropylene bags per year. Thus, BOPP film is produced in Kazakhstan for the first time. The film is used in agriculture, construction, food production, retail trade. The cost of the project is about 90 mln US dollars.

The main event for the expansion of the consumer goods production will be construction of the integrated gas and chemical complex in Atyrau region. The project is aimed at deep raw material processing from the Tengiz field. The project cost is 2.6 billion US dollars. As the result, Kazakhstan will produce polypropylene, which is the base for fast-growing industries such as electrical engeenering, machine building, equipment engeneering, industrial and commercial construction.

In order to create production infrastructure it is planned to build the following facilities: gas turbine power station with capacity of 310 MW, complex for the production of technical gases, water purification and production complex.

The centralized construction and operation of infrastructure objects allows to optimize capital costs, provide opportunity to conduct module construction, increase efficiency of petrochemical projects.

The Head of the Fund also discussed prospects for further development of the polythelene, butadiene and synthetic rubber production. “United chemical company” LLP implements the projects. Thanks to the project implementation in the region over 9000 temporary and 2000 permanent jobs will be created.
