JSC «Samruk Kazyna» optimizes the spending on information systems for the Fund Group by signing the agreements on strategic partnership with key software developers that supplies information systems to Kazakhstan companies.

The current level of the Fund Group automation is about 30%. In order to achieve the objectives of the Transformation Program of «Samruk-Kazyna» to ensure high productivity and increased market value of companies the automation level should not be less than 70%. The software application used have been analyzed within the scope of the Transformation Program for the purpose of cost optimization across the Group of Companies. The analysis revealed that a substantial part of the budget is spent on the purchase of products of 4 software companies - SAP, 1C, Microsoft and Oracle.

In last December, JSC «Samruk-Kazyna» signed a strategic agreement with SAP, a company providing enterprise software platforms for large national companies, such as JSC «NC KazMunayGas», JSC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy», JSC «NAC «Kazatomprom», JSC «Kazakhtelecom» and others.

«The agreement on strategic partnership concluded between JSC «Samruk-Kazyna» and SAP company is the first of its kind in Kazakhstan and among the few in the CIS. According to the Fund’s estimates, successful realization of the Program will allow to reduce total cost of ownership by more than 2 times, due to optimized terms for further implementation and maintenance of program software. The economic effect of the cooperation, according to our estimates, will be about 200 billion KZT until 2020, and this does not include SAP investments in Kazakh students learning in leading technical universities of the country and product localization. In the near future, a similar agreement will be signed with the 1C company. Negotiations with Microsoft and Oracle are in progress. Strategic agreements with suppliers can significantly reduce the Group costs for software in the next 5 years. Moreover, this will enable the selection of the optimum ratio of different types of software for efficient management specific to each industry (oil and gas, energy, railways, post service, communications etc.).
