Board of Directors of the Fund considered and approved new procurement concept of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC group of companies at the regular meeting.

«The analysis identified a number of opportunities to improve the procurement system. In addition, the existing rules do not meet the requirements of the WTO and the conditions accepted by Kazakhstan in the framework of the agreement on the EAEU,»  Chief Business Transformation Officer Adamas Ilkevicius told.

The concept involves a number of significant changes, it is designed taking into account the best international practices on procurement. In particular, at the Fund’s level procurement for a certain range of goods, works and services will be centralized; portfolio companies plan to optimize the procurement of strategic categories.

According to preliminary estimates, the procurement management project will achieve savings in the amount of 1.4-2.1 billion dollars till 2019.

The Board of Directors also considered report on the implementation of the transformation program of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC, as a result the management of national companies was made a number of orders for high performance discipline and coordination. In addition, changes in the development strategy of the Fund in connection with the transformation program and economic situation on the world market were considered. Relevant decisions were taken on all the questions.
