On July 4, 2015, a solemn ceremony of launching transformation program of «Samruk-Energy» with the leadership of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC, Core Transformation Team took place in Astana.

Kick-off meeting began in the teleconference mode with the staff of subsidiaries and affiliated companies of the electricity holding company.

In his address, Chairman of the Management Board of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC Umirzak Shukeyev noted that the transformation provides for the «Samruk-Energy» a unique opportunity to improve the efficiency of business processes and improve the economics of the energy. In the future, the ability of portfolio companies to respond to external challenges will show how well and deeply they carried out transformation.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of «Samruk-Energy” JSC Kuanish Bektemirov noted that energy holding enters into the process of large-scale reforms in full readiness and wished the company's management team and the Transformation Team to do this job on time and to withstand the specified high rate.

Chairman of the Management Board of «Samruk-Energy» JSC Almasadam Satkaliyev stressed that the transformation – is a complex multilateral process to achieve the strategic goals of the company. «Samruk-Energy» puts the emphasis on leadership to reduce operating costs and protect the environment. The company also aims to diversify the coal business through the introduction of advanced technologies.
