July 2, 2018. Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Akhmetzhan Yessimov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov, during which a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed.

The parties decided to strengthen coordination in attracting foreign investment, developing the energy complex, promoting Kazakhstan's export, enhancing the country's transit and transport potential, and delivering the Comprehensive Privatisation Plan for 2016-2020.

In his welcoming speech, Akhmetzhan Yessimov noted that the signing of this document is an important milestone in fulfilling the instructions of the Head of State on a wide range of economic issues.

"We will work closely under today's memorandum. Samruk-Kazyna faces major challenges this year. Firstly, three of our companies are going public, and up to 50 enterprises are planned forprivatisation. Many foreign investors are interested in these assets,"Mr. Yessimov said.

Underthe memorandum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan expresses its readiness to provide the Fund with up-to-date information and researchmaterials on the most competitive companies and economy sectors of foreign countries, information on all significant planned events in foreign countries for inclusion in the Fund’s Single calendar of international economic events,  business delegations planning to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to assist in carrying out public awareness activities abroad on regularly basis.
