The new principles in the procurement system have allowed Samruk-Kazyna portfolio companies to save KZT10.8 billionsince the beginning of the year.

To date, theFund is implementing category management, which covers 72 strategies. Each strategy is a document which contains procurement rules. This approach necessarily considers the issues regarding the costs of purchasing, storage, transportation, maintenance and repairs, as well as the disposal of goods.

To date, out of 72 strategies, 60 have already been approved and are being implemented, and the remaining 12 are being developed. The full implementation of this system will allow the Fund to achieve an economic effect of up to KZT45 billion.

It should be noted that in accordance with the instructiongiven by Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC,  the Group of companies has introduced incremental changesaimed at efficient cash management, including through ensuring transparency of procurement procedures and expanding the competitive field of potential partners.

At the beginning of this year, the list of goods, works and services, purchased within the intercompany cooperation was reduced from 4,500 to 424. Thanks to this, the procurement list for more than 4,000 items was increased for SME representatives. These measures will promote competition among suppliers, facilitating more efficient and transparent procurement.
