SARYARKA gas pipeline to reach the capital in october

Akhmetzhan Yessimov, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, has visited the 820th km of the Saryarka gas pipeline. Construction of the pipeline will be completed on time in October’19.
During the site visit, Akhmetzhan Yessimov has given the upbeat assessment of the construction and marked the need of timely completion of the construction as well as providing start-up work on time.
“At the moment, the gas pipeline construction has been completed for 75% and has reached the Karaganda and Akmola regions. Upon construction completion of the linear part by JSC NC KazMunayGas, Akimats (Majors’ Offices) will start gasification of settlements including the capital”, - Sagidulla Makashev, General Director of AstanaGasKMG said.
To recap, the gas pipeline has been constructed under instruction of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy. The gas pipeline is intended for gasification of the capital of Kazakhstan, central and northern regions of the country. The Fund takes part in financing a large-scale project. The contractor is KazStroiService, the operator is Astana Gas KMG. The Saryarka gas pipeline begins upon from the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline. Major construction work will be completed by the end of 2019. Commissioning is scheduled in 2020. The length of the gas pipeline is 1061 km, coverage is 171 settlements with a population of 1.7 million people.
