62 YOUNG SPECIALISTS TO PASS TRAINING IN SAMRUK-KAZYNA GROUP OF COMPANIES

The group of companies of SWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC launches the third wave of the Digital Summer program - a two-month internship for young professionals.
The program provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students of Kazakhstan’s universities to take internships in 11 portfolio companies of the Fund. According to the results of 2018 and 2019, the program has shown its effectiveness. So, since the project was launched, 43 trainees were employed in the group of companies of the Fund.
Within two months of this year, 2289 applications were processed, 29 assessors were involved. At the moment, 41 finalists have successfully passed the 4-stage selection and are ready to train under the Digital Summer 2020 program from July 1 to August 31, 2020. Also, 21 project participants are graduates of last year's program with permission to participate based on the certificates received.
Applications were attracted through targeted advertising on social networks, sending information to youth organizations, as well as official letters to higher educational institutions of the country.
According to the new conditions, not only IT specialists were involved in the program, but also HR, administrative activities, process engineers, mechanical engineers, chemical chemists, technical specialties, geologists and oil and gas specialists, environmental engineers.
In addition, the geographic coverage of the internship has been expanded. If last year the internship took place in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, this year the participants have the opportunity to take an internship in the cities: Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Aktobe, Atyrau, Kyzylorda, and Ekibastuz.
Let us note that each participant will be assigned an individual mentor from among the employees of the companies. In addition, participants will receive a monthly scholarship in the amount of KZT50 000.
In 2019, 53 participants were accepted for the internship, of which 11 interns received an invitation to work in the companies of the Fund.
Let us recall, the CEO Akhmetzhan Yessimov gave a positive assessment to the Digital Summer program, which allows you to select young and talented specialists in the Fund's group of companies. One of the unique features of this program is the practical experience with large agglomerate products - SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, HP, IBM, Huawei, as well as the annual Hackathon.
