On October 18, 2021, the Forum of Entrepreneurs of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council (KCBC) in Lianyungang of Jiangsu Province of the People's Republic of China was organized by Samruk-Kazyna in cooperation with the Chinese Committee for the Promotion of International Trade. 

The event's main objective was to intensify contacts with potential investors from the industrialized coastal provinces of eastern China, representing logistical, chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, manufacturing, and other relevant fields.

A particular focus is the development of multimodal transport through Kazakhstan and the port of Lianyungang, where the joint Kazakhstan-China logistics terminal is located, and the search for ways to reduce barriers in regional logistics.

Representatives of Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhhinvest, KTZ Express, UCC, and several other organizations, Chinese - head of business associations, leading local companies from the sphere of petrochemicals addressed the forum in an online format, Biomedicine, logistics, and e-commerce operators. The event resulted in adopting a bilateral initiative to strengthen investment and industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Jiangsu province enterprises.

There was also a thematic conference Integrated Supply Chains of the Lianyungang-Caspian Sea, aimed at connecting Lianyungang with the Aktau Morport, further development of the Trans-Caspian Multimodal Route on the form fields, as well as localization in the Republic of Kazakhstan of modern logistics facilities, production of goods with high value-added and export potential. As a result of the conference, several commercial documents were signed, including an agreement on intentions between the Samruk-Kazyna Investment and the Chinese company Shanghai ACE Investment & Development Co., Ltd.
