Samruk-Kazyna JSC (“Samruk-Kazyna” or “the Fund”) has completed the second of the four stages of the project on improving HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) management system efficiency in the Fund portfolio companies.

The project objectives are to assess the current state of portfolio companies, and the Fund integrated management systems (IMS), identification of opportunities for their improvement, and, as a result, improve the quality of the HSE management.

Therefore, the maximum possible unification of the HSE standards is expected. The development of missing processes and the improvement of existing tools will significantly reduce injuries and incidents at work.

The Fund has announced 14 HSE expectations that meet the best international standards. Further project stages will focus on aligning the elements of the portfolio companies' management systems with these expectations.

Currently, a massive amount of work has already been completed on establishing auditor competence profile, selection, and education internal 59 experts representing the most prominent companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Group.

They have successfully certified as IMS Auditors, and each of them will play an essential role in achieving the project goals.

Internal experts will conduct cross-audits of the management systems at future stages, identifying compliance and helping portfolio companies share successful experiences protecting employees' lives, health, and well-being.

The results of these audits are to be used to develop a large-scale roadmap for the continual improvement of HSE management systems.
