The delegation of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the Fund’s group of companies made a working trip to the Mangystau region. During the visit, the working group visited a new modern Medical Center in Zhanaozen, built by the Fund within the framework of the social partnership policy. 

The medical center with a hospital for 50 beds, located on a plot of 2 hectares, is designed to serve 400-450 patients per shift. An operating unit, intensive care unit, emergency department and ambulance service are open and functioning. The center is furnished with modern equipment that provides for high-quality diagnostics at an early stage of disease development. The cost of the project amounted to more than KZT 8 billion.

Gibrat Auganov, the Managing Director for Public Relations and Change Management of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and representatives of the Akimat of Mangystau region got acquainted with the capabilities of the polyclinic medical center, talked with patients and doctors. 

“The management of the Fund and the Group of Companies are always aware of the needs of the population of the regions of presence and are ready to provide all possible support within the framework of the social partnership policy. The new polyclinic will serve to improve the quality of life of citizens”, Gibrat Auganov said in his speech. 

On the same day, the delegation visited the recently opened multifunctional sports complex and rehabilitation center “Balakai”, created for the comprehensive rehabilitation of children with disabilities, with the direct support of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and Fund for the Development of Social Projects “Samruk-Kazyna Trust” was the project administrator.

Recently, the Fund for the Development of Social Projects has implemented various social initiatives. In particular, 19 universal sports and playgrounds with an area of up to 2000 sq. m. have been installed in the Mangystau region, 10 Workout sites have been opened, three residential apartment buildings in Zhanaozen have been overhauled, Samruk-Kazyna Trust has also equipped 50 secondary schools of the region with sports equipment, and 10 schools are equipped with 130 personal computers, which made it possible to organize computer classes in educational institutions. Four correctional schools for children with hearing impairments are equipped with special correctional equipment and didactic materials, vision and intelligence.  

Three educational schools are equipped with buses for transporting children, 3 reanimobiles with equipment for emergency medical care have been transferred to medical institutions.  

Rehabilitation of 300 children with cerebral palsy has been organized, a trust center has been opened for women who have suffered from domestic violence and need shelter. The disabled club “Alga” was equipped with 18 types of sports equipment. 

An offline online learning center has been created in the following areas: computer and web programming, Internet marketing, robotics and English language teaching. 28 grants have been issued for socially useful initiatives to aspiring social entrepreneurs of the region, assistance and support for veterans of the oil and gas industry is provided on a regular basis. 

It should be noted that among the initiatives implemented by the Fund in Zhanaozen, special attention is paid to the social project “Ziyatker Urpak” aimed at supporting school graduates. Within the framework of the project, a test for career guidance of high school students is conducted, as well as preparation for the UNT of children from socially vulnerable segments of the population.
