Plamen Atanasov to Leave the Post of the CEO of QAZAQ AIR JSC due to the Expiration of the Contract

Today, Plamen Atanasov, the CEO of QAZAQ AIR JSC, completes his work in the Company due to the expiration of the contract.
Under the guidance of Plamen Atanasov, QAZAQ AIR JSC has implemented a business transformation program. By the end of 2021, the airline’s passenger traffic increased by 32% compared to the previous year, and EBITDA reached KZT469 million.
Over the three years of work of Plamen Atanasov, QAZAQ AIR has restructured expensive foreign currency leasing agreements for three aircraft, commissioned two new aircraft, opened its own aviation training center, passed IOSA certification, became an official member of the International Air Transport Association IATA, launched new flights to the border cities of Russia and remote regions of Kazakhstan.
The Fund extends its appreciation to Mr. Atanasov for his contribution to the development of the national airline QAZAQ AIR and Kazakhstan civil aviation in general, and expresses its gratitude to him for the fruitful and professional work.
