On October 3, an information and explanatory meeting was organized in Astana with employees of NAC Kazatomprom JSC on the issues of privatization and IPO of portfolio companies of Samruk-Kazyna JSC (hereinafter - the Fund). The speakers were representatives of the Fund, NC KazMunayGas JSC, Kazpost JSC, AIX and KASE Kazakh stock exchanges and brokerage and dealer organizations.

During the meeting, the employees of the nuclear holding were acquainted with the progress of the implementation of the privatization program and IPO of the Fund's portfolio companies, including key information on the first IPO candidate, National Company KazMunayGas JSC. The participants of the event had the opportunity to improve their financial literacy in terms of investing in securities. The experts talked about the opportunities for generating income and the potential risks associated with stock trading.

“The purpose of such meetings is to simply and clearly explain to the population, to every citizen of our country, information about the transfer to the competitive environment of those assets and state facilities that are in the Samruk - Kazyna JSC group. Of course, we place the main emphasis on IPO -candidates who will enter the stock market.
The life of the company after entering the IPO changes dramatically. The company must meet the high listing requirements, implement internal and external processes in accordance with the best international practices, actively interact with investors, improve the level of corporate governance, conduct its activities transparently and publicly, strive to maximize benefits for all its shareholders - and we see all this today on example of Kazatomprom,” said Dastan Adikhodzhayev, Privatization and Restructuring of Assets Director of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

As is known, Kazatomprom became the first portfolio company of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, whose shares were offered to local and international capital markets under the Privatization Program approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, 75% of the Company's shares are owned by Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and 25% are in free circulation.

"The history of AIX began with the IPO of Kazatomprom in November 2018 , when the sale of shares of the nuclear company started on the stock exchange. Today, our goal is to make the stock market more accessible and closer to all citizens of Kazakhstan, regardless of their income level and location, so that everyone has a wide choose what to invest your savings in. We were the first to make investments in the stock market truly democratic. Almost 2 years ago, AIX launched a simple mobile app “Tabys” with a low entry threshold - from five US dollars, which even a novice investor can easily figure out. Through this app, it will be possible to apply for participation in the IPO of NC KazMunayGas JSC and in all subsequent placements of national companies of Kazakhstan," said Renat Bekturov, CEO of AIX.

Since its IPO , NAC Kazatomprom JSC has regularly paid dividends to its shareholders. For 2021, the total amount of dividend payments amounted to KZT 227 billion.
