During the negotiations, the current status of the Kalamkas-Sea/Khazar project was discussed, as well as prospects of the Al-Farabi project.

Nurlan Zhakupov has stressed that the course towards strengthening cooperation between the Fund and LUKOIL remains unchanged. The parties have long-term partnership relations, to which top priority is given in Kazakhstan.

LUKOIL is one of the largest publicly traded vertically integrated oil and gas companies in the world, accounting for about 2% of global oil production and about 1% of proven hydrocarbon reserves. The company operates in more than 30 countries around the world.
