The parties discussed the progress of ongoing projects with participation of the EBRD.

In particular, the EBRD, together with the Asian Development Bank and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, is financing the transfer of CHP-2 to gas in Almaty.

In addition, the EBRD intends to participate in the project “Unification of the energy system of Western Kazakhstan with the UES of Kazakhstan”. The work on banking and environmental expertise is in progress.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) specializes in investing in projects that contribute to the transition to an open market economy, as well as development of private and entrepreneurial activities.
