The Kazakh-Azerbaijani Investment Fund to Expand the Portfolio of Projects in the Energy Sector

The framework agreement between the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Investment Fund (SK-AIH) and the State Oil and Gas Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR was signed during the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan in Akorda.
SK-AIH is a joint investment fund of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the Azerbaijan Investment Holding. Its goal is to attract investments in various sectors of the economy of the two countries and implement joint projects.
As part of the signed agreement, the parties plan to define a portfolio of joint projects in the energy sector, including renewable energy sources and energy efficiency. The SK-AIH Fund will act as a minority shareholder.
Cooperation opens up new opportunities for the development of the green economy and expansion of investment ties between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
